“Majnun Harb”: war crazy
graffiti says majnun harb or in english war crazy, first the word “Harb” or war is also a famous Lebanese family name and so it has a double meaning first it is like some one signed his name and kind of stating that he is crazy and since “Harb” is a Lebanese name so it kind of has a hidden meaning that this person became crazy as a result of living in Lebanon, and the second meaning is that this person became crazy as a result of the constant wars in Lebanon since “Harb” means war…

my self
self portrait where the face is still and calm while the hair is kind of blowing off in the back and going wild and free so it kind of emphasizes two personalities but all together it makes up one person. this portrait was ment to be very personal that makeup was used to draw the piece, the eyes are literaly “painted” with eye brown eyeshadow and a hint of green eyeshadow, the mouth with lipstick, the face was painted with different shades of foundation, and the hair along with the outlines where drawn with black eyeliner and the background with nail polish
non-drawing work
the scent is one of the most personal aspect of a human being it also is a major trigger of memory, as such i decided to capture each and every scent that reminds me of the members of my family sepperatly in glass capsules. i placed my mom’s perfume in one capsule, my dad’s after shave in another, my brotheralways smells like toothpaste and deodrant in the morning and so i placed some of these in another capsule to remind me of him, for the one representing my sister i placed her favorite flower and her perfume, mint candy is my best friend’s favorite candy and so i placed some of that candy in another capsule representing her, finally my cousin has dry hands and uses Vasline cream so this is how she usualy smells as such i placed some of that cream in a capsule representing her. since the scent is a very personal thing to a person and it triggers memory, when i was presenting my project and asked my class mates to smell the capsules it felt like i was introducing them to my family members.
